A Different Kind of Halloween Scare…

On Halloween this year, AMU students heard from Patrick Madigan, SJ, on “Expressive Individualism, the Cult of the Artist as Genius, and Milton’s Lucifer.” Madigan is editor of the Heythrop Journal, a publication sponsored by Heythrop College, University of London.

Madigan’s address was part of the Honors Integrated Colloquia, interdisciplinary discussions for students in the Honors Program, which meet twice a semester. These discussions are dedicated to fostering an interdisciplinary and integrated conversation, focusing on texts and ideas within the core curriculum, as well as broader ideals and themes within the overall philosophy of the curriculum.
