Philosophy and Biology get Social!

Philosophy and Biology get Social!

The Biology and Philosophy Departments each held socials on Monday night, inviting students to hang out and learn more about their respective disciplines.

After a brief presentation, all the members of the Philosophy Department were present at the Philosophy Social for (what else?) some “informal philosophizing” with the students. Below, Dr. Joseph Trabbic (Associate Professor of Philosophy) talks about how worthwhile it is to pursue the “the love of wisdom.”

The Biology Social was jointly sponsored by the Bio Department and the Bio Club. Students had the chance to get advice on classes, learn more about the major, and hear about the professors’ various research projects. Below, Dr. Nicholas Curtis (Assistant Professor and Chair of Biology) speaks to the students gathered; Dr. Ladislav Sallai (Assistant Professor of Biology) sports the biology honors medal.
