Dr. Travis Curtright Named Editor of Moreana, Leading Journal of Renaissance Studies

AMU’s own Dr. Travis Curtright (Associate Professor of Humanities & Literature, Chair of Humanities & Liberal Studies) was recently named Editor of Moreana, a leading journal of Renaissance studies which is published by the Edinburgh University Press. Moreana was founded in the early 1960s with the support of Amici Thomae Mori (the Society of Friends of Thomas More), and it is dedicated to publishing academic research on Thomas More and related scholarship on the sixteenth century. 

Besides now serving as Editor of Moreana, Dr. Travis Curtright is also a fellow of the Center for Thomas More Studies at the University of Dallas. He has published two books on Thomas More, The One Thomas More (2012) and Thomas More: Why Patron of Statesmen? (2015). Curtright directs the AMU student acting troupe, Shakespeare in Performance; he is coeditor ofShakespeare’s Last Plays: Essays in Politics and Literatureand he has a second book on Shakespeare, Shakespeare’s Dramatic Persons, due out November 2016.
