AMU Graduate Theology Prepares to Welcome Dr. Gerald P. Boersma to the Faculty!

Dr. Gerald P. Boersma will be coming to AMU to begin teaching in the fall. With his background in patristics, especially St. Augustine, Dr. Boersma will be an excellent addition to the faculty.

Below, is a brief word from him about starting at AMU:

I am delighted to be joining the faculty at Ave Maria University.  My wife, Maria, and I are both graduates from Ave Maria and the opportunity to return and contribute to the dynamic mission of this vibrantly Catholic, liberal arts institution is a tremendous blessing.

I am deeply humbled and honored by the invitation to join superb colleagues and friends for whom I have the greatest admiration.  As I know first-hand, the theology programs at AMU are outstanding.  The exceptional caliber of Ave Maria’s graduate programs in theology is increasingly recognized as graduates from the M.A. and Ph.D. programs are now teaching all over the country in seminaries, colleges, and universities serving as a vitalizing presence in Catholic higher education.

It is privilege to be a part of Ave Maria University’s faculty.
